I am originally from Spinea, a small town close to Venice, Italy. Back at home I was part of the Italian national fencing team. Fencing allowed me to travel around the world and instilled within me a sense of curiosity that would eventually lead me to journalism. In January of 2014 I was awarded a full athletic scholarship at St John's University, Queens, where I graduated with a B.S. in Journalism. In 2018 I graduated from Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY where I focused on urban reporting, investigative and data journalism. As a journalist I cover criminal justice, immigration and crime.
